I  would  like  to correspond  with  the  descendents  of  William S. and  Sarah  Kennon BARLOW,  married  22 July  1849  in  Cole  County, Missouri.   William was the  son of Julius  and  Mildred  Stone  BARLOW,   and  a  brother  to  my  grandfather  James  M. BARLOW.    William died in 1851 leaving one son whose name is not known.   This  son had one or two sons and several daughters, one of whom was Berthane.

QUERIES CONTINUED
In a search for a g-g-g-grandmother, I have received  information  that  Susan BARLOW married Joseph Viedte  FRY  (b 14 Aug 1776 in Fayette Co KY).   It  said  that  she was born 9 Mar 1775 and died 3 Sep 1836.   But there is  no  authentic record of  this data.

Joseph  V. FRY  was  the  son  of  William  A. FRY  and  Rachel SPEERS;   grandson  of Benjamin  FRYE  of  Germantown, PA,  and  a  great-grandson  of  Heinrich  FRYE and  Anna Catherine LEVERING who were married in Germantown PA in 1682.

The children of Joseph and Susan FRY were:
Matilda FRY (BARROWS)
Eliza FRY (1-FOREMAN, 2-HARRIS)
Margaret FRY (HEDDINGTON)
William FRY (m. Ann RANDALL)
Lucretia FRY (WOOD)
Milton Fry (m. Letitia DEVORE)
and Joseph V. FRY, Jr. (m-1 Elizabeth RANSDALL, m-2  Elizabeth ALLEN)
They were all born in Fayette Co KY.
The only person in the preceding  biographical data who is  not documented is  Susan  BAR- LOW.  I would appreciate hearing from anyone who has information about Susan.

Britta B. Harris, 101 South Kickapoo Street, Lincoln IL 62656

I am descended  from Thomas  BARLOW  whose  daughter  Polly BARLOW married Ben- jamin  GOSNELL  around  1790  in  Bedford  County VA.    I   don't  have  anything  on Thomas and not much on Polly.  I would like to hear from anyone with information on  these BARLOWS.

Jacqueline Schryer, 106 Santa Barbara Drive, Hampton VA 23666

I  am seeking any information about  Abner BARLOW,  born  1799  in  New Hampshire.  His  parents  may have  been  Abner  and Eunice BARLOW.   The family moved to  New York  in early 1800's.   In about  1822  Abner  married  Polly STRUNK  in  Chautauqua County,  New York.  In  about 1834  both families moved  to the newly  formed state of Wisconsin.

If  anyone  has  information  about this  line of Barlows I would like to hear from them.

Katherine Bridgman, 4231 Jensen Street, Pleasanton CA 94566

Editor's Note:   Abner  was a son of  Abner and  Eunice (French) BARLOW.  I have sent what information I have on Abner BARLOW to Mrs Bridgman and both she and Barlow of  Barlow would appreciate receiving any further information.

QUERIES CONTINUED

Barlow  of  Barlow  is  interested in hearing  from anyone who  has information on the BURLOW- BURLEW-BERLOW-BERLEW family.

This  line  seems  to  have  been  initially  located  in  New Jersey  in  the 18th century.

It is  assumed that this name is linked to the BARLOW surname, although it is possible that it is a variation of the BURLEY name.

I  am  researching  my  GGG Grandfather  Chaffin BARLOW.    According  to  the 1850  Casey County Kentucky  census  he  was  from Virginia  and  was  born  around 1822.   He married Mathilda  Jane  (or Coretta) JACOBS  from  North Carolina  (born around 1827) in the early 1840's,  as their  first  child George W. (or George E.) BARLOW  was  born in Virginia  in July, 1843.   Their marriage could  have  taken  place  in  Virginia, North  Carolina, or  possibly Tennessee.   Chaffin BARLOW also was  a  member of  the 8th  Kentucky  Cavalry, Company M, during  the  Civil War.  He probably died in 1866- 1867 as his wife remarried in 1868.

Any information will be appreciated.

Roger A. Barlow, 308 Steele Street, Frankfort KY 40601

I need more  information about my  husband's  Robeson County,  North Carolina,  an- cestors.

William  BARLOW was born about 1760.

He married first Anna NETHERCUT on Oct 1,1785, in  Duplin  County NC.

He  married  second  Feley  BATTON  on June 28, 1803, in Robeson County NC.

His  son William  BARLOW II was born about 1796 and he married first Nancy FERGU- SON on  Feb 24, 1829,  in  Robeson County.

Their children  were:   Sarah  born  1831,  Duncan  born  1834 and  Catherine  born  1837.

William II  married second Elizabeth COUEY, nee WATSON on Aug 15, 1850,  in  Mont- gomery County GA.  She was born on July 09, 1815.

Their  children were:  William  III born Nov 27, 1850,  Elias  born 1853,  John Thomas born 1856 and Mary born 1859.

William  BARLOW  III  died  on  June 6, 1926, and  was buried  in  the  Homerville  TN Cemetary.

He married  first Victoria  O'QUIN  (born Dec 15, 1853) and their children were:  Burt,  Newt and Matilda.

William III  married  second Mary  ARNOLD  (born Mar  22, 1862, died Aug 22, 1924) on  Jan 8, 1888,  and their children were:  Hattie, Waver,  Lizzie, Lorena, Tom  Watson, Needham Arnold and Inez.
