Dimon Barlow Home, Fairfield Vermont

Home owned by the Branon Family since 1904     Photos contributed by Frank McKane, descendant of Elizabeth Barlow and Burr Batterson

The original house built by Dimon Barlow in 1803 was damaged by an earthquake in the 1920's, taken down and reconstructed with the original bricks which had been made on the site by the Barlow brothers. The only change was the roof.

The barn in currently being torn down, the usuable boards are being saved for use in new construction.
