1.   Arunah Roseter Barlow was born on December 04, 1807, at Hubbardton, Rutland Co Vermont [Family Bible]

He was probably a son of Nathan and Philota (Pratt) Barlow, [Edmund Barlow of Malden Massachusetts] who were recorded at Fair Haven, Vermont, in the 1790 census, at Benson, Vermont, in the 1800 census, and a Hubbardton in the 1810 census. They had a son born between 1800 and 1810 who is not otherwise recorded. James and Hepsibah (Townsend) Barlow were also recorded at Benson in the 1800 census and at Hubbardton in the 1810 census with a son born between 1800 and 1810, but it is known that their son was James Truman Barlow born on January 28, 1806.

Arunah Roseter Barlow was an Erie Canal boat captain. He was recorded at West Haven, Rutland Co Vermont, in the 1830 census, and at Rochester, Monroe Co New York, in the 1840 census. He was probably the A.R. Barlow, retired, who lived at Milan, Black Hawk Township, Rock Island Co Illinois, in 1877 [Biographical Directory of Rock Island County Illinois, 1877]

Arunah Roseter Barlow married Mary A. ____. She was born on May 19, 1817, at West Haven, Vermont [Family Bible] She died on July 08, 1841, at Rochester, New York  [Family Bible]

Their children were:

2 i.	Lewis Barlow was born on November 22, 1826, at Whitehall, Washington Co New York [Family Bible]
3 ii.	Henry C. Barlow was born on July 26, 1832, at Oriskany, Oneida Co New York [Family Bible]
iii.	Harriet N. Barlow was born on May 18, 1834, at Rochester, New York [Family Bible] She married Henry R. Tillman Their children were: Albert Otis Tillman, Ida Cornelia L. Tillman and Edmond Arunah Tillman
4 iv.	Otis Barlow was born on April 18, 1836, at Murray, Orleans Co New York.
v.	Eliza A. Barlow was born on October 6, 1838, at Knowlesville, Orleans Co New York. She died on October 18, 1915, at Lawrenceville, Tioga Co Pennsylvania. She married Matthew Riffle on January 18, 1856, at Addison, Steuben Co New York. He was born on November 08, 1832. He died on May 27, 1899, at Corning, Steuben Co New York. Their children were: Estella T. Riffle, Lewis Augustus Riffle and Margaret J. Riffle.

Arunah Roseter Barlow married second Mary _____. She died on October 12, 1874, at Camden, Oneida Co New York.

He was probably the Lewis Barlow recorded living with the William McClellon family at Jackson, Washington Co New York, in the 1850 census.

3. Henry C. Barlow was born on July 26, 1832, at Oriskany, Oneida Co New York [Family Bible]

His children were:

i. Mary Lidia Barlow was born on February 28, 1857 [Family Bible]
ii. Henry C. Barlow was born on June 16, 1859 [Family Bible]
iii. Edward C. Barlow was born on August 15, 1861   [Family Bible]

4. Otis Barlow was born on April 18, 1836, at Murray, Orleans Co New York.

His children were:

i. Lucy Jane Barlow was born on February 18, 1860  [Family Bible]
ii. Ella P. Barlow was born on January 15, 1862   [Family Bible]

The original owner was their great-great-grandfather, Arunah Roseter Barlow

His daughter, Eliza Barlow married Mathew Riffle, the great grandparents of Mrs. Perry and Mrs. Jenkins

Arunah Barlow was an Erie canal boat captain which accounts for a different birthplace for each child.
