Generation 2
2.
LEWIS BARLOW2 (Branson1) was the first child of Branson, his birth year was probably 1795-96, in North Carolina, and died around April 1849 in Clarke Co Alabama, at which time his will was probated.

He married first about 1825, his wife's name is unknown, she apparently died before 1838

He married second to MARTHA EVERETT, June 13, 1839 in Clarke Co Alabama. (Clarke Co Alabama marriage records, 1814-1959, Judge of Probate)
Things to consider:  I find in Clarke Co Alabama marriage records:  Martha BARLOW married Elija SMITH on 22 January 1853 by Minister of Gospel, Page 187.    Could this possibly be the Martha, Lewis' widow?   In the 1860 census of Grove Hill, Clarke Co Alabama, Elijah, with no wife, but with two children, Nancy, age 7 and Elijah W., age 4.  He lives next door to a Bozeman family.  I then find Martha Smith, age 45 in Enterprise, Clarke Co Mississippi in the H.A. Riggle home, along with John Barlow, age 30, who could possibly be John Ray.     Census Record
