Mr. Carey Lois Barlow, 86, died Saturday morning (February 20, 2010) at Baptist Village Retirement Communities following an extended illness.

He was a native of Homerville but had been residing in Waycross since 1991. He was preceded in death by his parents, Baldy Barlow and Pinkie Sedgwick Barlow.

He was a member of Deenwood Baptist Church and his hobby was woodworking. He was a retired auto and heavy equipment mechanic.

Survivors include his wife, Brunelle Young Barlow of Waycross; a daughter, Lois Elaine Buntin (husband Bill) of Atlantis, FL,; two sons, Carey Ronald Barlow (wife Leona) of Mt. Dora, FL, David Albert Barlow (wife Anita) of Lake Mont, GA; seven grandchildren, John Buntin, Sharon Buntin, Kimberly Tomlin, Carey C. Barlow, Katie Colley, Aaron Barlow, Kristy Barlow Ogden; nine great grandchildren, Brooke Buntin , Jacob Tomlin, Carson Tomlin, Lily-Kate Tomlin, Hannah Barlow, Emily Barlow, Claire Colley, Daniel Colley, Wyatt Ogden; and a niece, Hazel Gunter of Jesup.

A funeral service will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday (February 21, 2010) at Music Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in North Cemetery in Dupont, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday from 1 until 3.
