1.
ELISHA MARION BARLOW2 (William1) son of William Barlow and Edy Mathoda, was born c1806 in Washington Co Georgia, and died October 1890 in Durango, Falls Co Texas. [FR]

He married 1. CYNTHIA c1831.   She was born c1809, and died before September 1872 in Pulaski Co Georgia.
He married 2. NANCY GIDDINGS / GIDDENS on 15 September 1872 in Pulaski Co Georgia. [GMR]   She was born July 1851, [FR] and died September 1879, [FR] perhaps in childbirth with Abraham. I was unable to determine who Nancy's parents might be, as there are 3 Nancy Giddings in the 1870 census of Pulaski Co Georgia, all have children without spouses, so it may be that she is a widow, perhaps a Civil War widow.
He married 3. MARTHA FRANCIS on 16 November 1879 in Pulaski Co Georgia. [GMR]  I believe Martha is the daughter of Franklin and Jemima Francis, and interestingly enough, she lives next door, or in the home with them in the 1870 census, her age 25, while a Nancy Giddings, age 26, lives next door to them, and all within a few doors of 2 Barlow families.

Children of Elisha and Cynthia are:

WILLIAM W. BARLOW3, born c1831, died 04 April 1907. [FR] In 1870, he and wife, SARAH, are in Austin Co Texas, both aged 39 with no children. In 1880, Washington Co Texas, a W.R. Barlow, age 48, is a brother-in-law in the home of John Hale.  W.R.'s wife Sarah however, is aged 60.   I did not locate them again in 1900.   But I don't believe they had children.   It may be that Sarah is a HALE.

JAMES S. BARLOW, born 04 August 1833, [FR] August 1834 [1900C] Wilkinson Co Georgia, and died 19 July 1920, Keen, Climax Co Texas.   Death certificate #21853 shows Collin Co Texas [TDR] James S. Barlow, Private, Co B 16th TX Infantry [MR]
He married ELIZABETH A. 'BETTIE' c1889. [FR]   She was born May 1845 [1900C] in Virginia, died 14 May 1921 in Rains Co Texas, DC #14907. [TDR]
1870 census of Brenham, Washington Co Texas, I find a J.S. Barlow, male, age 35, born in Georgia, with an A.J. Huver -female- age 33, born in Georgia that could be him.  Since I could not locate Rhoda and James Hoover, I am assuming the A.J. might be Rhoda.  Nothing yet to prove this though, just speculation.   I followed James til 1920 in census. He was in Collin Co in 1880, single, and a boarder in the Hale home.  In 1900, he and Bettie are in Collin Co, and only her children, his stepchildren live in the home, she had 4 Hathorn children, she and James had been married 11 years.  In 1910, they lived with her Bettie's daughter's Sethie Saunders.  Apparently James did not father any children.

RHODA J. BARLOW, born 21 July 1836. [FR]  She married JAMES HOOVER on 11 February 1855, Wilkinson Co Georgia, by Ellis Harville, M.G. [GMR]   I did not find any further records on them.
2.
CELIA B. BARLOW, born c1838 Wilkinson Co Georgia. [C,RWWC]
3. HENRY HARRISON BARLOW, born c1841, Wilkinson Co Georgia, [C] and died 06 June 1898 in Cochran, Bleckley Co Georgia. [A]
4. JOSEPH ELISHA BARLOW, born November 1843 [C]
5. JOHN TILLMAN BARLOW, born c1846, [C] and died in 24 January 1919 in Houston, Harris Co Texas DC #2567  [TDR]
Children of Elisha and Nancy are:
ELISHA J.E. BARLOW3, born c1873 in Pulaski Co Georgia, [1880C]   I found nothing for Elishah after the 1880 census.
ELIJAH BARLOW, born c1876 in Pulaski Co Georgia, [1880C], died in Texas [FR]  I found nothing for Elijah after the 1880 census.

SAMUEL BARLOW, born 05 September 1877 [DR, Power Co Idaho] in Pulaski Co Georgia, or 05 September 1879 [SSDI], and died in November 1975, Bannock Co Idaho. [SSDI]  The only time I located Sam was in the 1910 census of Umatilla Co Oregon, age 33, and single.
6.
ABRAHAM B. 'ABE' BARLOW, born 12 September 1879, Pulaski Co Georgia, and died 02 October 1970 in Moultrie, Colquitt Co Georgia, DC #034739. [GDR]   Abraham was in the home of Morgan Tilman and Emma in 1880, aged 3/4 of a year.
GENERATION 2
2.
CELIA B. BARLOW3, (Elisha2,William1) daughter of Elisha Barlow and Cynthia, was born c1838 Wilkinson Co Georgia, death date unknown, perhaps between 1873 and 1879, [GMR] burial in Simpson [Simmons?] Cemetery, Bleckley Co Georgia [RWWC]

She married JESSE C. SAUNDERS / SANDERS on 27 December 1870, Pulaski Co Georgia, by H.L. Barrow, J.P. [GMR,RWWC] He was born 21 January 1849, [RWWC] and died 19 April 1896, [RWWC] burial in Power's Cemetery, Pulaski Co Georgia [RWWC]   An Allie Saunders, born 1858, and died 1938 is buried next to Jesse in Powers Cemetery.  Checking Georgia marriage records, I find that Jesse Sanders married Ally Douglas on 27 July 1879 in Pulaski Co Georgia, so I believe Celia is deceased.

Jesse Saunders is in the household of Celia's parents in 1870.

I could not locate Jesse under any spelling in an 1880 census and by 1900 he is deceased.

Child of Celia and Jesse is:
7.
CARRIE SAUNDERS / SANDERS4, born 29 September 1873, and died 13 October 1947, burial in Power's Cemetery in Pulaski Co Georgia, but later moved to Limestone Cemetery, Bleckley Co Georgia  [RWWC,O]

3.
HENRY HARRISON BARLOW3, (Elisha2,William1), son of Elisha Barlow and Cynthia, was born c1841 in Wilkinson Co Georgia, and died 06 June 1898 in Cochran, Bleckley Co Georgia. [A] Military: Private, Co B 14th Battalion GA Light Artillery and Anderson's Battery GA Light Artillery [MR]

He married 1) MISSOURI HASKINS  on 24 December 1865 in Pulaski Co Georgia, by Daniel N. Fann, M.G. [GMR] The daughter of Joseph Haskins and Elizabeth Arnold [C, RWWC], she was born 08 December 1849 in Georgia, [RWWC] and died before September 1890 in Pulaski Co Georgia.
He married 2) GEORGIA ANN JOHNSON  on 09 September 1890 in Pulaski Co Georgia, by A.M. Butler, J.P. [A,GMR]  She had previously been married to a Horton. [A,GMR]   She was born 1853, and died 1948. [A]    I did not locate Georgia in a 1900 census.

Children of Henry Barlow and Missouri Haskins are:
  MARY ELIZABETH BARLOW4, born c1866 [C]
WILLIAM W. BARLOW, born c1868 [C]    I did not locate him in 1900
8. CHARLES C. 'CHARLIE' BARLOW, born April 1869, [A] April 1870, [1900C] and died 12 January 1953 in Pulaski Co Georgia, 84 years old, DC #1843 [GDR]
9. CYNTHIA LOU BARLOW, born June 1872, [C] and died May 1954, burial in Trailbranch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Cochran, Pulaski Co Georgia. [O]
HENRY BARLOW, born c1876.    Did not locate him in 1900
10. MATTIE L. BARLOW, born July 1880 in Georgia [C]

JOSIE BARLOW, born April 1884 in Georgia [FR]    Lived with brother Charlie in 1900, age 16  She married MR. WYNNE. [O]  I thought I located her in 1910, married to Caesar Wynne, who had lived next door to her in 1900, but it turned out he, and that family were black.
11.
ADDIE BARLOW, born 16 April 1887, and died 29 October 1982 in Chester, Dodge Co Georgia.

4.
JOSEPH ELISHA BARLOW3 (Elisha2, William1), son of Elisha Marion Barlow and Cinthia, was born November 1843 in Georgia.

He married SARAH. She was born June 1857 in Georgia.[C]    I find a transcribed marriage record of Julian E. Barlow marrying Sarah Haskins on 11 October 1870 in Pulaski Co Georgia, by Francis B. Green, J.P. and since I cannot find a Julian in any census, I believe this is Joseph E. and Sarah.   Sarah Haskins is a sister of Missouri Haskins, above, her birthdate from Family Bible records is 17 July 1855.

I find a Joseph in 1880 Pulaski Co Georgia, age 27, married to a Susan...but I don't believe him to be this one, he would be about 10 years too young.   No other Joseph's in 1880 that I can find.

12. BESSIE V. BARLOW4, born January 186_ in Georgia [C]
HENRIETTA BARLOW, born May 1883 in Georgia [C]
MINNIE L. BARLOW, born June 1896 in Georgia. [C]

5.
JOHN TILLMAN BARLOW3, (Elisha2, William1), son of Elisha Marion Barlow and Cinthia, was born August 1846 [1900C] in Georgia, and died in 24 January 1919 in Houston, Harris Co Texas DC #2567  [TDR]

He married SARA 'SALLIE' AUGUSTA WARD. [FR,A]    The daughter of Ruffin Ward and Narcissus Burns, [C,A] she was born 27 February 1860 in Bellville, Austin Co Texas, [A] and died 06 November 1930 in Houston, Harris Co Texas, DC #29581  [TDR, A]

Thimoteus/Thurston? Barlow, age 23, born in Georgia, lives in the home of of Eldridge and Mary Williamson in Austin Co Texas in 1870.  I have my doubts that it is JT, but the age and place of birth matches up with the 1880 census for JT.  Perhaps the census taker couldn't spell any better than his writing was!
