JAMES LAFAYETTE BRANTLEY3, (Lucinda2,William1), son of Lucinda Barlow and John Franklin Brantley, was born 28 August 1828 [FR] in Washington Co Georgia died 01 January 1916 [FR] in Washington Co Georgia.

He married REBECCA YOUNG on 11 January 1849 [FR].  The daughter of William A. Young and Rebecca Smith, she was born 01 January 1824 in Washington Co Georgia, [A] and died 11 April 1906 [A] in Washington Co Georgia

ELIJAH COOPER BRANTLEY4, born 10 December 1849 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 18 March 1909 in Washington Co Georgia, burial in Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington Co Georgia. [A] He was not in the 1850 or 1860 census, instead Elizabeth C. was enumerated in 1860, Elijah did not show up until 1870, when he was 20 years old.
He married GEORGIA ANN V. MASSEY on 11 Janaury 1872.  The daughter of Solomon B. Harris Massey and Elizabeth R. Smith, she was born 08 August 1857 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 04 February 1932 in Washington Co Georgia, burial in Zeta Cemetery, Washington Co Georgia.

JEREMIAH 'JERRY' BRANTLEY, born 23 April 1852 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 14 April 1931 in Washington Co Georgia, burial in Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Tennille, Washington Co Georgia
He married DORA P. JOINER in 1875.  The daughter of Elias Joiner and Martha Ann Smith, she was born 07 September 1857 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 18 April 1938 in Washington Co Georgia, burial in Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Tennille, Washington Co Georgia    One of their sons, Julius Leon Brantley, married Jennie Velma Bridges, daughter of Alexander J. She married SAMUEL GAINER SMITH on 10 December 1878 in Washington Co Georgia. The son of Samuel Smith and Elizabeth Turlington, he was born 01 December 1852 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 24 June 1932 in Washington Co Georgia.

WILLIAM THOMAS 'TOM BOOKIE' BRANTLEY3, (Lucinda2,William1), son of Lucinda Barlow and John Franklin Brantley, was born 22 May 1833 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 17 August 1920 in Johnson Co Georgia, DC #26332 - Bburial Sardis Church Cemetery in Emanuel Co Georgia

He married ANNIE ELIZA BRIDGES on 02 July 1865 in Washington Co Georgia.  The daughter of Alexander J. Bridges and Nancy Bridges, she was born 17 December 1847 in Washington Co Georgia, and died in 1916, burial in Sardis Church Cemetery, Emanuel Co Georgia.

William Thomas Brantley lived with his uncle, Elisha Barlow in Pulaski Co Georgia at the age of 21 and was a carpenter.
He was a Confederate Civil War Soldier, Sgt. Co. H 28th GA Infantry Regt., Colquitt's Brigade. He was 28 when he enlisted in the Army at Sandersville, Washington Co Georgia. He surrendered at Greensboro North Carolina on April 26, 1865. After the war, he married Annie Eliza Bridges.
He was a great reader of the Scriptures and loved the Bible above all. In 1869 he joined the Rutherford Primitive Baptist Church and was ordained a deacon. In 1877 he moved his membership to Mt. Gilead, Washington Co Georgia.   In 1900 he moved his membership to Sardis Church located in Emmanuel County, Georgia.
In 1920 he died and was buried at Sardis Church by the side of his wife who had died in 1916.

MARY ALICE 'MOLLY' BRANTLEY4, born 08 April 1866 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 16 October 1934 in Washington Co Georgia, burial at Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Washington Co Georgia

She married HENRY FRANK SHURLING.  He was born 02 March 1860 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 13 December 1946 in Washington Co Georgia.  Both are buried in Jackson's Baptist Church Cemetery, Tennille, Washington Co Georgia.

She married JERRY JASPER SHURING. He was born December 1850 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 1918 in Washington Co Georgia.  Both are buried in Mt Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery, Tennille, Washington Co Georgia.

She married JESSIE MERCER BRANTLEY The son of Jesse Mercer Brantley, Sr and Mary Elizabeth Smith, he was born 28 January 1874 in Washington Co Georgia, and died 25 October 1938 in Washington Co Georgia. Both are buried in Mt. Gilead Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Tennille, Washington Co Georgia
