Joseph C. Barlow was born in Philadelphia March 10,
1803, he came to St. Louis about 1829, where he was for
many years identified with the business interests of that
city.
He married March 08, 1836, Virginia Chateau, born in
St Louis, June 16, 1816, she died there on August 11, 1856.
He married May 04, 1876, Catherine M.
Clark, a widow, daughter of Major Chauncey Morgan of Binghampton,
N.J. They removed to Brooklyn, NY, where he died, surviving
her by a few years.

Roselle, N.J., Nov. 7 -- Miss Faith Chouteau
Barlow of 337 West Forty-third Street, New York, formerly
of Roselle, a violen instructor here for many years, died
Saturday night at Eastern Long Island Hospital, Greenport,
L.I. She was 61 years old. A sister, Mrs. Delarue

She died in Brooklyn August 08, 1882.
Married September 24, 1862, Major James A. Phinney, U. S. Army. He was for several
years U.S. Consul to Yokohama, Japan. They settled in New York City upon their
return, where they both died.
