In a letter written to a Mrs. Winn, who was researching the Barlows in Shelby Co some years back, she writes that she was enclosing a copy of the deed records for Jermiah where he purchased land in 1884 and he and his wife Mary, sold it in 1831.  The records were checked to 1852.

There were other Barlow's in this county early and they were probably related. 

I have compiled several books of genealogy information on Shelby Co, viz;

The heirs of the estate of Moses Prewitt deceased; Pleasant Prewitt, Mary Ann Barlow - late Mary Ann Prewitt, and John S., James H.,  Rachael, Rebecca and Margaret Prewitt.    Also Lewis Barlow the husband of the late Mary Ann Barlow received a share.  February 1835

An entry made to identify Juda Barlow, widow of Lewis Barlow, a Revolutionary (War) Pensioner. 
Lewis departed this life November 27, 1836.

Thomas H. Teas of Henry County Indiana is listed as the guardian of Nehimiah Starr, deceased in a chancery action. 
Stephen Harvey and George Barlow are mentioned.

In a chancery suit are: 
Stephen Harvey and George Barlow vs Thomas S. Teas of Henry County Indiana, the guardian of the minor heirs of 
Nehimiah Starr, deceased.

Civil Order  -  Book A page 285 
Lewis Barlow, aged 75 comes before the court declaring that in order to obtain a pension, states that he enlisted for two years in September 1776 in Virginia in a company commanded by Captain James Wood in the line of the state of Virginia in the Continental Establishment and served until October 1779 when he was discharged in New York State. 
He did have 100 acres of land which has since been sold. 
His family consists of 4:   Judah aged 75, Elizabeth 28, (a cripple), George C.  c.12 and Bluford aged c.10 
September 8, 1830 
----someone added a note that these young boys were grandsons of Lewis----
