Saginaw News Friday, 18 January 1939 The funeral of GEORGE BARLOW, 63, former Saginaw resident and veteran of the Spanish-American War, who died Monday evening at the soldiers home at Grand Rapids of injuries suffered Saturday when he was struck by a car, took place Friday afternoon at the soldiers' home with a military service. Saginaw News Tuesday, 19 May 1959 BARLOW, MRS. MACY BELL, 109 Center Street. Widow of FLOYD E. BARLOW, passed away at Saginaw General Hospital early Tuesday morning. Age 81 years. MACY BELL BRALEY was born May 27, 1877 in Coleman. Her first husband, Robert Wilson, who she was married to in 1895, passed away the following year. In 1899, she was married to Mr. Barlow. He passed away in 1941. The deceased was a member of the First Assembly of God. Surviving are four sons and one daughter, MRS. EVERETTE DENNE, Troy, Mich; LINUS BARLOW, Caledonia; EDGAR BARLOW, ElCajon, Calif; LEE BARLOW, Mina, Nev.; KENNETH BARLOW, Saginaw; eleven grandchildren' several great-grandchildren; also one brother and one sister, MRS. MERTIE LITTLE, Glendale, Calif.; FLOYD BRALEY, Olympia, Wash. Funeral service will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Case Chapel, Rev. Arthur F. Thornton will officiate with burial in the Mt. Morris Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel. |
Saginaw News Monday, 10 February 1964 BUETELLE C. 'TELLE' BARLOW, Route 2, Beaverton, Michigan Formerly of 2516 Sheridan Avenue, passed away suddenly at his home late Saturday night. Age 66 years. He was born September 14, 1897, in Saginaw County, and grew to manhood here. On July 30, 1925, he married MISS MARY BENDER. She survives him. He had been employed by the McNalley Construction Co. as a teamster for 31 years, retiring in 1961. The deceased was a member of the Broadway Avenue Methodist Church. Besides his wife, he leaves one son, RONALD BARLOW, Saginaw, two grandchildren; MARY JO and MARK BARLOW, both of Saginaw; also five brothers and two sisters, ARCHIE BARLOW, MRS. HAZEL CARROLL, both living in Florida; KENNETH and GLEN FRANKLIN, both of Flint; REX FRANKLIN, MRS. MARY HAAS, and WILBUR KOHN, all of Detroit; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. John W. Smith will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel after 4 p.m. Monday. |

Saginaw News Thursday, 16 December 1971 BARLOW, KENNETH EARL, Saginaw Michigan passed away unexpectedly at Saginaw General Hospital Wednesday evening, Dec. 15, 1971. Age 57 years. He was born Sept. 18, 1914 in Saginaw and had lived here all of his life. He was employed at Frimberger Co. for about six years when ill health caused him to retire about one year ago. He was an active member of Calvary Baptist Church. He married DOROTHY H. SMALL Dec 29, 1935. She survives him. He also leaves two daughters, MRS. DELTON (BEVERLY) MUNSON, Onondaga, Mich.; MRS. ROBERT (SANDRA) STRZYINSKI, Saginaw; 12 grandchildren; a sister and two brothers, MRS. EVERETTE L. DENNE, Troy Mich; EDGAR F. BARLOW, Ocatillo, Calif.; LEE BARLOW, living in Nevada. Funeral service will take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. Francis Cook will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Thursday. |
Saginaw News Wednesday, 19 July 1978 MRS. MARY S. BARLOW, Saginaw Township. Widow of BUETELLE BARLOW, passed away at St. Luke's Hospital Tuesday evening, July 18, 1978. Age 75 years. MARY S. BENDER was born June 17, 1903, in Saginaw and had been a lifelong resident. She was married to Mr. Barlow in 1924. He passed away in 1964. She was a member of the former Tuscola Street Methodist Church. Surviving are one son, RONALD BARLOW, Saginaw; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; one brother and one sister, ROY BENDER, Saginaw; MRS. RUTH GORTE, Beaverton, MI.; several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday at the Case Chapel, 409 Adams St. Rev. Asa T. Compton will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the chapel after 7:00 p.m. Wednesday. |
