        Titus Watson entered the army as sergeant and commanded a company at Germantown,  Valley Forge and Monmouth. 

        He had six brothers who served as captains during the war 
        Nathan Bennett was a minute man at Lexington and ensign in Bradley's battalion, Wadsworth's brigade, at Fort Washington, where he was taken prisoner 
        Samuel Barlow was a patriot who inspired his three sons, Aaron, Joel and Thomas,  to serve nobly their country.

        Joel Barlow was the poet chaplain, who sent a Bible to his sister Huldah, with these lines:
        "Her brother sends the Book of Life,
        He begs her kindly to receive it
        Tho' Tories say he don't believe it."
        Enoch Wood, 1779, at the age of sixteen, volunteered in Captain Tyrannis Collins' company and was confined in Canada over two years. He located his grant of land at Camillus, N. Y., where he died a pensioner at the age of eighty-four.  His father also served in the militia.

        William Ingersoll, 1777, served on the Committee of Safety of Lee and lived 

        to the advanced age of ninety-two.

        Nathan Bennett served at the Lexington Alarm and was taken prisoner at Fort Washington.

        He was born at Fairfield, Conn., and at the age of seventy-six, in 1822, was placed on the pension roll of Saratoga county, N. Y. 
        Abner Barlow turned out from Granville at the Lexington Alarm in Captain Lebbeus Ball's company, and enlisted in the same company for the siege of Boston. He was placed on the pension list  of Ontario County, N. Y., 1832, at the age of eighty-two.
