He was born at Fairfield, where he died. His brother Jabez served as major. Nathaniel Barlow, (1745-82), served on the committee to enlist soldiers and collect wages. He furnished supplies, and supported a soldier during the entire war. He was born at Reading, where he died. His three brothers, Aaron, Samuel and Joel, also served, the latter was the poet of the war. Silas Mosman, (1757-1829), enlisted at the first call for troops. He was born at Sudbury and died at Stowe. His brothers Jesse, Aaron and Ezra also served in the army. Abner Goodale, (1755-1823), was a minute man at the Lexington Alarm and served under Capt. Silas Gates at the siege of Boston. He was born at Marlborough, where he died. Jeduthan Rice, (1760-1842), served in Capt. Jotham Houghton's company, Colonel Nathan Sparhawk's regiment, 1778. He was born at Sudbury and died at Ludlow. Amos Call, (1759-87), enlisted from Montague, 1780, and gave six months' service. He served as corporal, 1781, under Capt. Oliver Shattuck. He was born at Leicester and was killed at South Hadley in Shay's rebellion. Enoch Ilsley, (1730-1811), was a member of the Committee of Safety of Falmouth, Maine. He was born at Newbury, Massachusetts His brother Daniel served as an officer. Joseph McLellan was a member of the Committee of Safety of Portland, 1774. He was commissary of the Bayaduce expedition and commanded a company of militia. Eliakim Howe was a signer of the Association Test and on the committee to fill the quota for Continental army. He was a member of the alarm list of Henneker, where he lived during the Revolution. He was born at Marlboro, Mass., 1723, and died about 1805 at Brownfield, Maine. |

Ebenezer Tolman, (1748-1838), served as a private in Captain Jonathan Whitcomb's company at Bunker Hill. He was sent on the expedition to Quebec, where he was taken prisoner; detained for a year and suffered with smallpox during his confine- ment. He received a pension at the age of 86 for service in the New Hampshire Conti- nental Line. He was born in Attleboro, Massachusetts, and died in Nelson, N.H. |
