        Sherman Babcock served several enlistments under different commands, 1777-78;
        was engaged in battles in Rhode Island. In 1832 he applied for a pension in Harrison County, Indiana, which was allowed for service as private, Connecticut State troops. He was born, 1762, in South Kingston, R. I., and was living in Racine County, Wis- consin, 1842.

        Edmund Barlow (1732-1818) served under Capt. William Cooley and Col. Elisha
        Porter; was present at the surrender of Burgoyne.
        He was born in Suffield, Conn.; died in Granville, Mass.

        John Thomas (1725-76) served as brigadier-general of militia at the siege of Boston. He was appointed major-general, 1776; was in the Canadian campaign and took com- mand after the death of Montgomery.
        He was born in Marshfield, Mass.; died of smallpox in camp.

        Enoch Wood (1763-1847) in 1779 was a soldier in Jacobus Van Schoonhoven's New York regiment and was taken prisoner, 1780.

        Nathan Bennett served as ensign in the regiment of guards, raised to defend the State, 1777.    He was born in 1746.
