Josiah Records in 1779 was commissioned captain of a company of soldiers to repel the attacks of Indians.
He was born, 1741, in Sussex County, Delaware; living in 1783.

Sherman Babcock served several enlistments under different commands, 1777-78;
was engaged in battles in Rhode Island. In 1832 he applied for a pension in Harrison County, Indiana, which was allowed for service as private, Connecticut State troops. He was born, 1762, in South Kingston, R. I., and was living in Racine County, Wis- consin, 1842.

John Dickinson (1707-99) was a field officer in the Hampshire County militia, 1776.
He asked for discharge, 1777, owing to age and disability. He was born and died in Hatfield.

Edmund Barlow (1732-1818) served under Capt. William Cooley and Col. Elisha
Porter; was present at the surrender of Burgoyne.
He was born in Suffield, Conn.; died in Granville, Mass.

John Thomas (1725-76) served as brigadier-general of militia at the siege of Boston. He was appointed major-general, 1776; was in the Canadian campaign and took com- mand after the death of Montgomery.
He was born in Marshfield, Mass.; died of smallpox in camp.

Benjamin Shackelford (1733-1817) was captain of militia at the beginning of the war and subsequently commanded a battery of artillery. He was born in King and Queen County, Va.; died in Culpeper County.

Titus Watson (1746-1821) commanded a company, 1776, at the Lexington Alarm.
He was born in Bethlehem, Conn.; died in Ballston, N. Y.

Enoch Wood (1763-1847) in 1779 was a soldier in Jacobus Van Schoonhoven's New York regiment and was taken prisoner, 1780.

Nathan Bennett served as ensign in the regiment of guards, raised to defend the State, 1777.    He was born in 1746.
