  Bobby Edwards Barlow                                May 16, 2001    Greenwood Commonwealth 

  Services for Bobbye Edwards Barlow, 67, of Itta Bena, who died of heart failure Tuesday, May 15, 2001,
  at Greenwood Leflore Hospital, will be at 2.p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church of Itta Bena.

  Mrs. Barlow,  a native of  Chester in  Choctaw County, was a homemaker, mother, and grandmother who
  lived in Itta Bena since she was 3 years old.

  She  graduated  from  Humphries  High School in  Itta  Bena and attended  Sunflower Junior  College in
  Moorhead, where she was a cheerleader.

  Mrs. Barlow operated Mine & Yours Antiques and Accents about 15 years. She was a member of the Itta
  Bena Women's Club and First Baptist Church of Itta Bena, where she was a member of the choir.

  Mrs. Barlow is survived by her  husband,  Raymond Barlow of Itta Bena;  one daughter,  Donna Diggs of 
  Tchula;  two  sons,  Mike  Barlow of  Laurle  and  Dennis  Barlow of Itta Bena;  two sisters,  Margie Nell
  Tanner of Gardengrove, Calif., and Johnnie Picard of  Lafayette, La.;  two brothers, William T. Edwards 
  of Cantonement, Fla., and L. Pittman Edwards of Cleveland, Miss.; and nine grandchildren.

  The Rev. George Meadows and the Rev. Higdon Herrington will officiate at the services.  Burial will be in
  Itta Bena Cemetery with Wilson and Knight Funeral Home in charge. 

  Visitation will be from 6 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

  Memorials may be made to the Baptist Children's Village in Jackson.

  Pallbearers wil be William Raby, Jimmy Moore, George Saunders,  Vonzell Self, Richie  Fulgham, James
  Griffin, Phil Kelly and Ricky Williams.

  Honorary  pallbearers will be  Ralph Prestridge,  J. W. Mims, and  present and  past deacons of the First 
  Baptist Church of Itta Bena.

Avo Dale "Scurlock" Barlow
Services for Mrs. Avo Dale Barlow, 69, will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday at Antioch Baptist
Church and burial will be in the church cemetery with Hartman Funeral Home in charge.
She died Saturday at Hardy Wilson Hospital after a long illness.

Survivors are seven sons, Aubrey, Stevie, and Thomas Barlow, all of Hazlehurst, Hugh and
Claude Barlow, both of Jackson,  Harold Barlow of Orlando, Florida, and Edward Barlow of
Clinton, four brothers, Henry Scurlock of Bogalusa Louisiana, Sam Scurlock of Greenwood,
Andrew Scurlock of Raymond, and Daniel Sucurlock of Hazlehurst, four sisters, Mrs. Dora Maey
Bishop, Mrs. Cleo Turnage, both of Hazelhurst, Mrs. Bertha Smith of Wesson, and Mrs. Cora Lee
Moore at Raymond, and 20 grandchildren.
