Abel Chatman Thurman Sr 4   (Sally3, John2, John1), son of Sally Berry and Elijah Thurman, was born c1816 & died c1838 in Simpson Co Mississippi.

He married  Elizabeth Loftin (one researchers shows her to be Elizabeth Sellers)

The middle name has been shown as both Chatman, and as Chapman, I do not know which is correct. According to the Abel Chatman and Martha Myers Family Bible,--need to find and make link----transcribed by Inez Myers Coleman, the name is Chatman.

The only known child of Abel Thurman and Elizabeth Loftin is:
