1st.  Brother George Burket and Sister Elizabeth Burkett was received by Letter.
2nd. 
Brother Jacob Carter's case was taken up and after due discussion and deliberation moved by Brother Simon Robbins and Seconded by  Esau Bass to put the case to the Church in Conference and passed on the Affirmative  and  after the vote being taken Jacob Carter was expelled from the Church for various digressions and wrongs done by him on the trial of his slave, Step.

June the 3rd 1848  Met in Conference
Brother Gardner  in the chair.   Brother Ephraim Bass stated  that  the conference that the report of  his wagoning on  Sunday of  b___ his orders is false.  On motion took up the case of Brother Ephraim Bass.  On motion  laid over the above case of  Brother  Ephraim Bass. 

On motion Brother W. Gardner and Harmon Thompson was appointed to cite sister  Hannah Allen to attend our next conference. On motion be it resolved that any male member  of  Ebenezer  Church  absenting himself for two  meetings in succession  should be called on at the third to show cause why he has absented himself.

July the 1st 1848  Met in Conference
Brother Scarborough in the chair. On motion took up the case of Brother Ephraim Bass.   On the acknowledgement of  Brother Ephraim Bass,  the Church expressed hisself satisfied. 

Brother W. Gardner  and  Harmon Thompson reported  that they had visited sister Hannah  Allen  and think  her  reasons just  for her non attendancy.  On motion the report was received and agreed to.

August the 5th 1848  Met in Conference

Brother  W. Gardner   preferred  a charge  against Brother W. Barnes for attaching  himself  to  the  Masonic Fraternity,  the charge having been fully   discussed by the male members  of the  Church,  the Church whereupon  Brother Gardner  consented  to  abide  by the majority  of the Church after returning to the Church. 

Brother Darius Scarborough at  the request of  Brother  Gardner made motion to  bring the charge before the Church for final hearing.  Whereupon the moderator was requested to explain the condition of the case to the sisters of the Church.  Whereupon  the motion was  put  by  the  moderator  to the Church  to know whether the Church  was satisfied with  the acknowledgement  of  Brother Barnes was satisfied.

Brother Bass  made application for himself  and his  wife which was postponed until our next meeting.

Brother J.M. Carr made application  for a letter of dismission from the Church which was granted to him and the clerk authorized to grant him the same. 

Sister Jane Berry  made  application for letter from  the Church which was granted  to her and the clerk authorized to grant her the same.  --I am unsure of who she might be--

On motion  the Church proceeded to elect delegates to the association whereupon  Brother  W.  Barnes and  W. Gardner  were selected and Brother  Darius  Scarborough  their alternate;  and the Church for 30 copies of the minutes of the  association and  that  the  Church send five dollars. Conference adjourned,  W. Barnes, Clerk.

September the 2nd 1848  Met in Conference
On motion dismissed Brother Esaw Bass and his wife, Elizabeth from Ebenezer Church. 

On motion agreed to suspend the rule for washing feet for the present only.
