In the 1850 census, Eley is shown, as age 3 mo. Since the census was taken in Oct, I would assume her to be born in August 1850. However Eley is not in the census for 1860, instead Mary is shown, born c1848, so I am assuming them to be the same child. Dates from cemetery records conflict with both ages shown in census records. She married Francis Marion Lowther. He was born June 26, 1842, and died September 16, 1919. Francis married Kate South after Mary's death. She was born September 1860, and died September 01, 1927 All are buried in Steen's Creek Cemetery, Rankin Co Mississippi |
