HENRY HOWARD or HOUSTON BERRY4,  (Pryor Talley3, John2, John1) son of Prior Talley Berry and Elizabeth 'Betsy' Myers, was born November 05, 1844, and died August 01, 1921

He married MARY JANE TAYLOR   (maiden name is from her grandson, Henry Howard Berry)  She apparently died before 1894.

He married 2. MARTHA 'MATTIE / LIZZIE'  ELIZABETH   c1894.  She was born July 1862.   (I have told that she was a Barlow, but have not been able to find her in my Barlow family, pehaps she was a widow of one of the Barlow men, as this is her second marriage according to the 1910 census)

Does anyone know if there is a relationship to Martha Garrett? I had thought she was the Mattie he would later marry, but the ages do not work.

Their may have been other children before Mary's death, if so, they had either left home by 1900, or had died.
Children of Henry Berry and Mattie are:
ROBERT SULLIVAN BERRY, born November 1889    I could not locate Robert in the 1920 census
 
CHARLES ALBERT BERRY, born 1897, (1900 cenus shows September 1895), and died 1947.   (This Barlow, Bridges and Berry family were intermarried several times, and can get quite confusing if you don't watch out)

He married MAE BELL TUCKER, daughter of G.T. Tucker and Laura Barlow, Laura the daughter of John A. Barlow and Matilda Guynes, John A., the son of Narvle Barlow and Elizabeth Byrd.    Mae was born 1903, and died in 1941.  Both are buried in Harrisville Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi.

I was unable to locate this family in the 1920 census.
Children of Charles and Mae are:
Howard Berry married Frances Barlow, the daughter of Lemuel O. Barlow and Ellen Theresa Kelly   Lemuel is the gr-grandson of George Washington Barlow and Flora Ann Byrd      We visited with Howard and Frances in 2003, and they had no idea they were related to the John A. Barlow family. Sad how after years of being close knit families, they grow apart with the years and don't even realize they are related.

Alma Mae 'Teenie' Berry married Roy Wilkie Bridges, the son of Wiley S. Bridges and Winnie Barlow.  Roy Bridges was born May 08, 1920 and died March 04, 1994, burial in Harrisville Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi
Laura Katherine Berry married Charles Thomas 'Hob' Bridges, the son of Eddie Martin Bridges and Estella Barlow.   Laura was born September 16, 1926, and died June 20, 1991, burial in Harrisville Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi.   Charles born February 07, 1922   
 
CARLIE/CARVIN, or perhaps Calvin BERRY, born February 1900    I was unable to locate him in the 1920 census.
