Jemima married John Shivers of Chesterfield Co South Carolina, and many of their descendants migrated to Mississippi. * The town of Shivers was named for this family. John and Jemima Shivers' first child was Ivin Shivers, who married Pheriba
Beasley. They settled on land about two miles south of the village plot of Shivers.
