Tally Miles Berry4  (John3, John2, John1), son of John Jackson Berry and Alisie Miles, was  born October 20, 1831, and died September 13, 1913, burial in the Columbia City Cemetery, Marion Co Mississippi.

He married Mary Quinn, daughter of David and Rebecca Quinn. Mary was born September 06, 1836, and died June 15, 1897, burial in Strong River Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi

During the Civil War, Talley joined the Westville Guard.  In the 1870's,  he joined the Minute Men of  Westville who were ready to  take up arms at any moment.

He was Justice of the Peace at Westville 1868 -1876 and Postmaster at Westville
