William H.  "Bill" Berry4   (John3, John2, John1), son of John Jackson Berry and Alisie Miles, was  born c1826-27  in  Mississippi, died 1890 in Rankin Co Mississippi, burial in Steen Creek Cemetery, Florence Rankin Co Mississippi

He married 1.) Martha Courtney Kitchens    c1846

He married  2.) Martha Bishop,  after 1847.   She was born c1828, and probably died c1861

He married 3.) Mrs. Isabelle Hedrick on September 24, 1864, Copiah Co Mississippi, performed by by M.T. Conn, M.G. - Bondsman was M. Cook - page 434

He married 4.) Sarah S.  before 1870

As told by Mary Elizabeth Thurman Webb, gr-granddaughter of William H. (Bill) Berry was visiting relatives in Rankin County when he took ill and died. It was decided that he would be buried there due to the lack of refrigeration during that time.

Family Circle:   Martha Bishop is the daughter of John Bishop and Lucretia Taylor,  her sister Harriett married Denson Berry, her brothers, Elisha married Louisia Berry and Hines married Susannah Berry.

While I cannot  verify  that William is indeed a child of Jack and Alisie, or of his spouse' maiden names,  I will attempt to verify his family.
