Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Tombstones

The cemetery was started long ago when a caravan of carnival people passed through the country and sickness struck. They camped in this area and one of the travelers died. Big sand rocks were used to build up around the grave about three feet. There is an inscription on a stone inside these rocks, but is so old, it is unreadable. It surely is a conversation piece.

Many, many unmarked graces and graves known only to the families lie in the gates of Antioch Cemetery. Some are marked by iron stakes and some with sand stones with no inscriptions.
