Thomas Norvell3 Hilton  (William2, Mr.1)  son of William and Ann / Mary / Josie 'Amey' Hilton, was born June 10, 1825 in South Carolina, and died August 18, 1868. His burial is in Harrisville Cemetery, Harrisville, Simpson Co Mississippi

He married 1) Sarah Ann Garraway  Nothing more is known about Sarah.    See note
He married 2) Louisa Elizabeth Bridges
Louisa was born July 26, 1835 and died July 22, 1934 in Simpson Co Mississippi.
She is buried in the New Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Simpson Co Mississippi

Sarah Ann Garraway -- Bill Waller shows her death date as 1852, and if he has proof of that, then it may be that Louisa is the mother of Francis, Rosanna, and William.  More research needs to be done.

I do not have a relationship of Robert but he is probably a brother to Sarah ....

According to descendants of Rosanna, who married Hardy Ball, Rosanna & William were twins, but according to this, and the 1870 census, they are not.

Louisa E. Hilton, age 35, Frances, age 16, Monroe, age 14, Pauline, age 12, Almeda, age 10, Wiley, age 8, Robert, age 6, Carrie, age 2, all children born in Mississippi. Also in the home is Wilson Whatley, age 13, farm boy (I noted that the neighbors in 1860 were Whatley's)

In 1870, they live next door to John A. and Matilda Jane Guynes Barlow, who has living with them, an Elizabeth Hilton, age 70, born in SC, and I believe it shows her to be "Grand.", perhaps for grandmother, I am really unsure of what it says, and I haven't figured out how she might be either of their grandmother. She must be James Hilton's widow       

In 1880, Louisa shown as Eliza Hilton, age 40 is head of household in Steens Creek, Rankin Co Mississippi with children: Almedia, Wiley, Robert and Carrie.   (This would indicate to me that another daughter, Almedia, was born c1862.  In 1900, she is listed as Louisa Nelson, age 64, living with her daughter, Carrie Barlow.  So did she remarry to a Nelson?     In 1910, she is living with Hardy/Horace and Pauline Hilton Ball   Her age is 74.  She is shown with name 'Ball' and as mother of Pauline. She says she has borned 8 children, 4 of them living.  Frances and Carrie are deceased, Wiley is living, but what about Robert and Almedia?  I was unable to locate Robert in 1900 and 1910.
