      Louisiana.

  Mrs.  Lizer A. Chance, 91, of  Hornbeck, died at  9:50 p.m., on  Monday, May 12,
  following an extended illness. She was hospitalized at Fraser Hospital South.

  Survivors  include  three sons,  John  M. Chance,  and  Joseph L. Chance, both of
  Hornbeck, and  James L. Chance of Serepta;  two daughters, Mrs. Edna O. Nolen
  of Hineston, and  Mrs. Onida Arnold of LeCompte;  36 grandchildren, and 67 great
  grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.

  Funeral services  were held at the  Plainview Baptist Church on Wednesday, May
  14, at 2 p.m. The Rev. Billy Nolen officiated. Burial followed in the Toro Cemetery,
  under the direction of the Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  Surviving  relatives  include his  wife,  Mrs. Elizer Chance of  Hornbeck, four sons,
  J.M., Woodrow and  Leroy Chance  both of  Hornbeck, James Chance of Sarepta; 
  two daughters, Mrs. Onie Nolen of  Hineston and Mrs. Onida Arnold of Alexandria;
  one  brother,  Norman Chance of  Florien;  four  sisters, Mrs. Maria Crenshaw and
  Mrs. Katie Behan of Hornbeck, Mrs. Ludie Arthur of  Florien, & Mrs. Leatha Leach
  of Natchitoches; 36 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.

  Funeral services were  held Monday, May 13, in Toro Baptist Church with the Rev.
  Glen Flenniken officiating.  Interment was in Toro Cemetery under the direction of
  Warren Meadows Funeral Home.

  of Hornbeck;  three brothers,  Albert, and Leroy Chance, both of
  Hornbeck, and   James Chance  of  Serepta;  two  sisters,  Mrs. 
  Onie  Nolen of  Hineston,  Louisiana, and  Mrs. Onida Arnold  of
  LaCamp, Louisiana; his mother,  Mrs. Liza Chance of Hornbeck; 
  and 11 grandchildren.

  Pallbearers were  Delwin Chance,  Deloy Nolen,  Charles Bailey, 
  Randy Chance, Jessie Nolen, and Tommy Arnold
