12. ARVIL BURTON BARLOW, son of Williasm Washington Barlow and Lizzie Elmira Morris, was born February 17, 1905 in Sabine Co Texas, and died November 29, 1990 in Jasper Co Texas, burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Jasper Co Texas. (SS issued in Oregon) I did not find him in a 1930 census.

He married 1) FRANCES OLETA BRAGG. The daughter of Thomas Bragg and Frances Harriet Alford, she was born February 08, 1912, and died December 08, 1968, burial in Myrtle Springs Cemetery, Sabine Co Texas. (She is also a sister to Mack Bragg who married Arvil's sister, Alice) I believe she married 2nd, Mr. Honeycutt.

HIGHWAY ACCIDENT FATAL FOR SABINE COUNTY MAN

A 23 year old Sabine County man died this weekend following a traffic accident on Hwy. 103 in Angelina County. Two other persons were injured in the mishap. Corey Randall Neely of Hemphill died at 12:23 p.m. Sunday at Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin approximately 18 hours after the accident, according to Department of Public Safety officials. Susan Conner, 29, and Charles Tucker, both of Hemphill were listed in stable condition at the Lufkin hospital, DPS officials added. The one-vehicle accident occurred 11.7 miles east of Lufkin at the Lake Sam Rayburn bridge and was investigated by Trooper Douglas Minchew. Reports filed by Minchew indicate that Neely was driving a 2000 Hyundai four-door east-bound on Hwy. 103 when the 6:05 p.m. accident occurred Saturday. Apparently Neely lost control of the car and it then ran off the road and overturned several times before landing upright. Neely was a construction worker and lifelong area resident. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill. Burial will be at Hemphill City Cemetery.

COREY RANDALL NEELY

Corey Randall Neely, 23, of Hemphill died at 12:23 p.m Sunday, Jan. 16, 2005, at Memorial Medical Center in Lufkin from injuries sustained in a traffic accident the previous day on Hwy. 103 in Angelina County. Neely was born Sept 9, 1981, and had been a lifelong resident of Sabine county. He was a construction worker.
Survivors: his father, George Neely of Hemphill; his mother, Tami Barlow of Hemphill; grandparents, Billy and Vernon Barlow of Hemphill; brother, Colton Neely of Hemphill; and sisters, Colby Neely and Randi Bass, both of Hemphill. Funeral services are set for 2 p.m. today at the chapel of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill with Bro. Gordon Simmons officiating. Interment will follow at the Hemphill City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Starr Funeral Home Inc. in Hemphill.

Frances was a Teachers Aid at Vidor Elementary School for 20 years and was a member of Pine Forest Baptist Church. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, June 3, 2005 at Pine Forest Baptist Church in Vidor, with burial to follow at Williamson Cemetery in Vidor. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, 2005 at Memorial Home Home. Frances is survived by her son Dell Barlow of Vidor, TX., daughter: Mae Jean Michal of Atascocita, TX., 7 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She passed away on June 17, 2002 at the age of 90. Celeste enjoyed quilting, was a registered nurse, was very active with and was former president of the Radiant Sunshine Class at Garden Road Baptist Church. Surviving her are her daughter, Julia Cowan (Walter); grandchildren, Robbie Celeste Watson (Doug), Donna Lee Mays (Randy), Donna Marie Heuser (Mark) and Bret Cowan (Susan); Great Grandchildren, Martin, Alicia, Bobby, Randy, James, Jeremy and Britton; nieces and nephews, Robert McFaul, Jonell Baker, Sarah Spiers, June Schroeder and Alice Kay McFaul; and friends. A graveside service will be Thurs. June 20th at 2 PM at Elm Grove Cemetery near Canton, Texas. Visitation will be Wed. from 5-8 PM at South Park Funeral Home.

Clifton and Mildred did not have children, but he helped to raise her children from a previous marriage to Mr. Jackson: Gary, Virginia, and Linda

27. ROBERT EDWARD 'BOBBY' / 'BOB' BARLOW, son of Oliver Clifton Barlow and Mabel Catherine Barlow, was born August 31, 1929 in VanZandt Co Texas, and died December 15, 1967 in Fort Worth, Tarrant Co Texas, burial in Lee Cemetery, Seagoville, Kaufman Co Texas.

He married BILLIE SUE CLEMENTS in 1952, Seagoville, Kaufman Co Texas. She is the daughter of Rudolph Clements and Ethyl Irene Rowland, and was born in Arkadelphia, Clark Co Arkansas. They were divorced in 1957-58.

Daddy was a school teacher in Perry Co Arkansas, and at Boulder University in Colorado. He was a photographer also, having gotten his start with Mr. Olan Mills. He graduated from Texas State Teachers College, Denton, Texas.

He was diagnosed soon after birth with juvenile diabetes, and his mother was told that he would not live to be an adult. She measured and weighed everything he ate, and did raise him to an adult, but he died at the age of 37, after having gone blind and been put into a nursing home.

My mother divorced my Daddy and remarried, and we moved to California, while Daddy moved back and forth between Texas and Colorado, where his brother had removed to. He kept in contact with us by letters and gifts, and in 1967, visited us in California, after which time we never heard from him again. Apparently he knew he was ill, and was close to death. It was not until 1996 that I located his brother in Denver, and found that my father had died in 1969. Clifton is still living, and he and I have become very close, and I visit him at least once a year in Denver, and call quite often.

I also found the rest of my Barlow family in 1996 when I was put into contact with Lora Beth Barlow Wright through an inquiry sent to the Jackson Mississippi archives. Until that time, I did not know that I had any living Barlow relatives other than my brother. Now I have found 100's of them, and love them all.

She married twice more after Maurice' death, to a SOLVIE, and to MERCHANT.
