LOUIS BRYANT BARLOW4, son of NARVEL R. BARLOW and ELIZABETH BYRD, was born 1849 [January 1857, 1900 census] in Mississippi, and died 1912, burial in Rexford Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi

He married 1. FRANCES MELVINIA HILTON September 16, 1873 in Rankin Co Mississippi.  The daughter of Thomas Norville Hilton and Sara Garaway, she was born c1854 and died February 15, 1900.

He married 2. FRANCES ELIZA 'FANNIE' AINSWORTH October 18, 1900 in Simpson Co Mississippi.  The daughter of Jonathan Bass Ainsworth and Margaret Elizabeth Dear, she was born September 03, 1870, and died June 03, 1940, burial in Harrisville Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi.  I was unable to locate Fanny in 1920.

2.  HIRAM GRIFFITH 'GRIFF' BARLOW5, born May 28, 1876, and died March 17, 1925

3.  WILEY GREEN BARLOW, born September 20, 1877, Mississippi, and died March 03, 1956, burial in Florence Cemetery, Rankin Co Mississippi.

BISHOP, MRS. LALA E.

Died 3:10 p.m. Monday evening at Our Lady of the Lake Regional Medical Center. She was 89, a native of Simpson County, Mississippi, and a resident of Baton Rouge. Visiting at the Welsh Funeral Home, 6700 Florida Blvd., 6 to 10 p.m. Tuesday, and 10 a.m. until religious services at 2 p.m. Wednesday, conducted by the Rev. Pete Spitzkite. Burial in Greenoaks Memorial Park.

Survived by a son, William A. Bishop, Baton Rouge; two sisters, Mrs. W.E. (Wilma) Mobley, Denham Springs, Mrs. A.C. (Francis) Brown, Oak Grove; three brothers, A.H. Edmonson, Homer, S.J. Edmonson, Many, and Lee Edmonson, Kilborne; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by husband, James W. Bishop; three brothers, Wallace, Luther, and Eugie Edmonson; and a son, Bryant A. Barlow.

Pallbearers will be Harold Chadwick, Hebert Olson, William H. Mobley, Will Bishop, Larry and Tommy Edmonson. She was a member of the Oak Crest Baptist Church, Baton Rouge.

He married MARY OLIVIA 'OLLIE' LAWSON, March 08, 1899, Rankin Co Mississippi.  She was born c1875, and died January 28, 1969.  Both are buried in Rexford Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi.   No children born to this couple

3.  WILEY GREEN BARLOW5, son of Louis Bryant Barlow and Frances Melvina Hilton, was born September 20, 1877, Mississippi, and died March 03, 1956, burial in Florence Cemetery, Rankin Co Mississippi.

He married 1. SALLY LAWSON, December 24, 1899, Rankin Co Mississippi, she being a sister of Ollie Lawson.  She was born September 01, 1878, and died September 05, 1907, burial in Rexford Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi.   In 1900, Wiley and Sallie live with his brother, Hiram.

He married 2. ELLA JANE STEEN, April 22, 1909, Rankin Co Mississippi.   The daughter of W.W. / Wash Steen and Mary E. 'Mollie' Barnes, she was born January 28, 1881, and died November 25, 1970, burial in Florence Cemetery, Rankin Co Mississippi  She is a sister to Estus Barnes Steen who married Lelia Belle Hilton

ANNIE ESTER 'JOY' BARLOW, born September 04, 1910, and died August 13, 2002 in Brandon, Rankin Co Mississippi, burial in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi

11. GRACE MARIE BARLOW, born January 27, 1921, and died July 21, 1990 in Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi, burial in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi

5.  AUGUSTA 'GUSSIE' BARLOW5, daughter of Louis Bryant Barlow and Frances Melvina Hilton, was born February 1882.

She married EDWARD F. BELL, December 13, 1903, Simpson Co Mississippi.   Gussie may have died before 1920, at which time Edward is married to Alice, perhaps Davis.

6. ALLIE BARLOW5, daughter of Louis Bryant Barlow and Frances Melvina Hilton, was born June 1887.

She married ALBERT BUSH      I was unable to locate them in any census.

7.  CHARLES GRADY BARLOW5, son of Louis Bryant Barlow and Frances Melvina Hilton, was born August 13, 1894, [1892, 1900 census] Rexford Simpson Co Mississippi, and died May 02, 1959, Star Simpson Co Mississippi, burial in Wesleyanna Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi

He married ALMA LOFLIN, January 26, 1920 or 1921, Rankin Co Mississippi.  She was born April 09, 1901 in Simpson Co Mississippi, and died October 28, 1986 in Rankin Co Mississippi.

8.  WILLIE ERNEST BARLOW5, son of Louis Bryant Barlow and Frances Eliza Ainsworth, was born July 03, 1905, Mississippi, and died November 26, 1983

He married ELIZABETH CORRINE STOUT, October 28, 1928, Methodist Parsonage, Harrisville, Simpson Co Mississippi. She was born October 07, 1901, and died October 14, 1991.   Both are buried in Poplar Springs Cemetery, Rankin Co Mississippi.

   

9. HENRY ALVA BARLOW, son of Wiley Green Barlow and Sally Lawson, was born June 10, 1901, and died died May 03, 1928, burial in Harrisville Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi

He married CECIL MELVINA NEELY.  The daughter of Tally N. Neely and Clifford M. Keene, she was born February 23, 1903. 

10. FRANCES BARLOW, daughter of Wiley Green Barlow and Ella Jane Steen, was born August 12, 1914, andd ied September 24, 1999, burial in Florence City Cemetery, Simpson Co Mississippi.

She married RUSSELL EUGENE SHOWS

11. GRACE MARIE BARLOW, daughter of Wiley Green Barlow and Ella Jane Steen, was born January 27, 1921, and died July 21, 1990 in Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi, burial in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi

She married HERBERT A. DICKSON on November 19, 1944.  The son of Archie Lewis Dickson and Maud Thompson, he was born September 22, 1913, and died July 01, 1972.

13. CHARLES WILBERN BARLOW6, son of Charles Grady Barlow and Alma Loflin, was born December 18, 1921 in Star, Rankin Co Mississippi, and died December 06. 1997 in Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi.

He married BARBARA MAE SAINSBURY on January 25, 1944 in Los Angeles, Los Angeles Co California.   She was born August 21, 1921 in Portland, Clackamas or Multnomah Co Oregon, and died 1989 in Mississippi.

VICTORIA ADELLE BARLOW married JAMES LEE HOLLINGSWORTH.
Children:  Nathan James, born June 13, 1983, and died as a result of an accident caused by a drunk driver, August 01, 1991, both in Vicksburg, Warren Co Mississippi, burial in Lakewood Memorial Cemetery, Jackson, Hinds Co Mississippi, and Melissa Kay Hollingworth.
