Died 1:16 a.m. Friday, March 15, 1991, at the Baton Rouge General Medical Center. She was 68, a native of McComb, Miss., and resident of Greenwell Springs-Baton Rouge area. Visiting at Charlet Funeral Home, Zachary, from 1 to religious services at 2 p.m. Sunday, conducted by Dr. D. P. Worsham. Burial in the Greenwood Plantation Cemetery, north of St. Francisville.

A resident of Wesson, Mississippi, she died at 1:05 p.m. Sunday, June 23, 1996, at King's Daughters Hospital, Brookhaven, Mississippi. She was 93, born January 29, 1903, in Copiah County, Mississippi. Visiting was held at Harrigill Funeral Home, Brookhaven, 5 to 10 p.m. Monday. Religious services at Mount Zion Baptist Church, Lincoln County Mississippi, at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Burial in church cemetery.

Survived by five daughters, Katie Minton, Pensacola, Florida., Janet Kelly, Jackson, Mississippi, Nell Robertson, Zachary, Annie Case and Bobbie Kimble, both of Wesson; 15 grandchildren, and 23great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by husband, Estus Lee Barlow; parents, William and Loretta Walker Britt; eight brothers, Francis, Hardy, Joe, Rock, Oscar, Coleman and M.L. Britt; and a sister, Maude Newell.

Died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 1995, at North Oaks Medical Center, Hammond. He was 80, a native of Wesson, Miss., and a resident of Hammond. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and the Korean conflict.

Visiting was held at Harry McKneely Son Funeral Home, Hammond, 6 to 10 p.m. Wednesday. Visiting at the funeral home, 8 a.m. until religious services at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, conducted by the Rev. William Eubanks. Interment in Greenlawn Cemetery with full military honors.

John Granberry "Berry" Britt grew up a farmer west of Wesson, Copiah Co Mississippi. He was the seventh child of eleven of Rasberry and Nancy Minton Britt. The family share-cropped on land west of Interstate 55 on Mt. Zion Road. Berry and Emma lived in the Sylvarena Community while the family was growing up and were members of the Sylvarena Baptist Church. They are buried in the Sylvarena Cemetery in Copiah Co Mississippi. Three of their sons, Alloy, Leroy, and Carl, married girls from the Sylvarena Community. Berry and Emma Barlow Britt raised their family close to the church and Berry was quiet famous for his singing and the quartet that was formed of his family. It is said that they would travel great distances to get to sing.
