| Denver Post Page: B-05 June 20, 1995 Elmer S. Avery Canady of Denver, an auto parts sales representative, died Friday. He was 82. A private memorial service was held. He was born July 29, 1912, in Peru, Nebraska on Aug. 12, 1933, he married Florence Edna Barlow in Kearney, (Buffalo Co) Nebraska. He is survived by his wife; three sons, John of Denver, Gary of Aurora, and Elmer of Seaside, California. |
The Gazette, Colorado Springs Colorado Page: 2 July 15, 1997 EDWARD H. FLITTON JR., 89, died July 12, 1997, in Colorado Springs. He was a retired vice president of Geo. A. Hormel and Co. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Episcopal Church, 601 N. Tejon St., with the Rev. Armstrong officiating. Evergreen Funeral Home, 1830 E. Fountain Blvd., is handling arrangements. Mr. Flitton was born Aug. 29, 1907, in Omaha, (Douglas Co) Nebraska. He was married Nov. 16, 1931, in Lincoln, (Lancaster Co) Nebraska, to Lucile Barlow, who lives in Colorado Springs. He also is survived by a son, Edward H. Flitton, III of Colorado Springs; a daughter, Frances Flitton Compton of Columbus, Ohio; and five grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy; and a grandson. Mr. Flitton graduated from the University of Nebraska. He was a member of Fidelity Lodge No. 39 in Austin, Minn., the Rotary Club and Grace Episcopal Church. He combined business success and service to the community with constant love and attention to his wife, children and grandchildren. Mr. Flitton had lived in Colorado Springs since 1986. The Kansas City Star Page: B5 August 05, 1991 Robert E. Barlow, 53, Gallatin, Missouri., died Aug. 3, 1991, at Veterans Hospital. He was a lifelong Gallatin resident. Mr. Barlow co-owned and operated the Barlow Oil Co. in Gallatin. He was a member of the Gallatin Masonic Lodge; the Godfrey De Bouillon Council and Commandery in Trenton, Mo.; and the Ararat Shrine. He was a member of the Gallatin United Methodist Church. He had served in the Coast Guard. Survivors include his wife, Linda Barlow of the home; two sons, Jerry Barlow, Plattsmouth, (Cass Co) Nebraska, and Mike Barlow, Shreveport, Louisiana; a daughter, Tammy Baker, Hamilton, Missouri; his mother, Helen Barlow, Gallatin; two brothers, Gene Barlow, Gallatin, and Jerry Barlow, Basehor in Leavenworth County; and two grandchildren. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Hope Chapel, Gallatin; burial in Hillcrest Cemetery, Gallatin. |

Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Park Lawn Chapel; burial in Green Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the chapel. Mrs. Barlow was born in Lincoln, (Lancaster Co) Nebraska, and lived in Kansas City before moving to La Habra in 1962. Survivors include a son; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great great grandchildren. |
