          Amanda Barlow
          Died Oregon City, March 19, 1924.  Husband, Jeremiah Barlow.  Buried in Oregon City.  She lived in the Morrow County area for 16 years.  She moved to Morrow County from Kansas in 1902.
          She moved to Oregon City in 1918.  Jeremiah Barlow died December 5, 1923.

          Emma Zetta Smith, mother of Mrs. Daniel S. Barlow died May 27, 1924 at home on Rhea Creek.  Survivors include Mrs. Jack Divona and Emmett Smith.  Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery in Heppner, Oregon.  - Obit 4-110

          Mary Etta Barlow
          Mary Etta Barlow aged 85 years, died Nov. 12, 1953 in Ione, Oregon.  Burial was in Heppner, Oregon.  She was born March 12, 1868 in Humbolt Basin, Baker Co Oregon.   She was the daughter of Henry and Emma Zetta Smith.  She married Daniel Barlow on January  01, 1893 at Weston, Oregon.   She lived most of her life in this area.  She is survived by sons Frank Barlow of Martinez, California, Alvin Barlow, Ione, Oregon, Everett Barlow, Lexington, Oregon, daughters Maude Ludkins, Ione, Oregon, Flora Schunk of Heppner, Oregon, Dolly Alstott, Ione, Oregon and Virginia Ayers deceased.  She had 13 grandchildren.   - Obit 1-243

          Daniel S. Barlow died October 18, 1956 in Heppner, Oregon, he was 86 years old.  He lived in the Gooseberry District.  He was born in Rock Port, Atchinson Co Missouri.  He married Mary Etta Smith January 01, 1893.  They had 3 sons and 4 daughters.  1 daughter, Virginia Ayers, Heppner, Oregon, preceded him in death.  He is survived by a brother Joel, Ione, Oregon.  Sons Frank, Martinez, California, Alvin, Ione, Oregon and Everett, Madras, Oregon.  Daughters Mrs. Cecil (Maude) Ludkins, Dolly Alstott, Ione, Flora Schunk, Heppner, Oregon.  - Obit 1-84

          Joel Barlow aged 71 years died May 14, 1957 in Heppner, Oregon.  He lived 35 years at Ione, Oregon.  He was born to Jeremiah and Amanda Barlow in a covered wagon in Dexter County Kansas on November 02, 1885 while the family was on the way from Missouri to Kansas.  He came to Eastern Oregon in 1902, settling near Ione, where he lived until 1919.  He moved to the Willamete Valley where his parents died.  He came to Ione in 1925.  Daniel proceeded by his brothers in death.  He lived with his nephew Alvin in Eight Mile for years.  - Obit 1-147 /  maybe 149

          Marie Barlow Warner
          Word has been received here of the death of Mrs. Cecil Warner, 50, of Eugene, who died Monday, April 1, after an illness of about two years.
          Mrs. Warner was the former Marie Barlow, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Barlow.  Mr. Barlow preceded his daughter in death, and Mrs. Barlow now makes her home in Eugene.
          The former resident was born in Heppner in 1918 to Charles and Blanche Barlow.  She lived here during her childhood, attended Heppner schools up to the time of her graduation.  She was married to Cecil Warner in February 1946, at which time she left Heppner.  Warner is a member of the public relations staff of Northwest Christian college in Eugene.
          Survivors include her husband and two sons, her mother, and a sister, Mrs. Robert Walker, all of Eugene; an aunt, Mrs. Alma Gilliam and Aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Vaughan of Heppner.
          Services were held April 3, 1960.
           

          Lutkins Funeral Slated for Monday.
          HEPPNER   Obit dates August  22, 1969
          Funeral services for Cecil Merle Lutkins, 77, will be Monday, 11 a.m. at Heppner Christian Church.   The Rev. Don Johnson will officiate.  Vault interment will be at Heppner Masonic Cemetery, with ritualistic services by Willows Lodge No. 66, IOOF.  Mr. Lutkins died at Pioneer Memorial Hospital Thursday.  A resident of Ione since 1941, he was engaged in farming.  Mr. Lutkins moved to Heppner recently because of ill health.  He was born April 14, 1892 at Allegan, Michigan, and married Maude Barlow at Oregon City, March 27, 1927.  He was a member of by Willows Lodge No. 66, IOOF, and Rhea Creek Grange No. 669.  Survivors include the widow, Maude, of Heppner, and a sister Velma Oiker of Colton, Oregon, three nieces and three nephews.

          PENDLETON
          Everett R. Barlow, 76, Pendleton, formerly of Heppner, died Sunday, April 26, 1981 at St. Mary's Hospital in Walla Walla.  Funeral services were Thursday, April 30, at the First Christian Church, Pendleton, with concluding vault interment at Olney Cemetery there.  Sweeney Mortuary, Heppner, was in charge of arrangements.
          Mr. Barlow was born November 8, 1904, near Heppner, the son of Daniel and Mary Smith Barlow.
          On November 27, 1943, he and Alberta Hoffman were married at Walla Walla.
          A veteran of World War II, he was a member of American Legion Post No. 87 at Heppner.  He had been a charter member of the Elks Lodge in Madras, later he transferring to Lodge 288 at Pendleton.
          Mr. Barlow is survived by his wife, Alberta, at Pendleton; a son Everett C. Barlow and a daughter, Mary Earlley, both of Pendleton:  two sisters, Flora Schunk and Dolly Alstott of Umatilla; and three grandchildren.  Another daughter Martha Etta Jane Barlow, proceeded him in death in 1956.

          Carl Alfred Barlow, born in Thomas County Kansas on May 15, 1900, passed away in Washougal, Washington, April 27, 1984.  Burial was at Washougal City Cemetery.
          Carl arrived in Ione, Oregon by immigrant train at the age of three with his parents Mary and William Barlow.  The family lived in Gooseberry and Eightmile area near Ione and attended schools at Fairview and Ione.
          At one time Carl Barlow worked for Harry French on the French Ranch near Hardman and at the Greener Sawmill.
          Carl joined the Odd Fellow lodge in 1921.
          Survivors include his wife, Dorothy Leola Barlow, Washougal; three grandchildren, Brenda Matson, Traci Barlow and Brian Barlow, and one great grandchild, Heather Matson.

          HEPPNER
          Graveside services for Flora E. Schunk will begin at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.
          Mrs. Schunk 88, died in Heppner Saturday, April 27, 1985, at the Pioneer Memorial Nursing Home.
          She was born in Heppner, January 29, 1899, the daughter of Daniel and Etta "Smith" Barlow, and spent most of her life in the Heppner area.
          She was a member of the First Christian Church.
          On December 25, 1921, she married Albert "George" Schunk in Heppner.  Her husband died in 1983.
          Mrs. Schunk was known for the special cakes she baked for all occasions.
          Survivors include daughter Louise Britt of Spray; sons Herbert of Lake Oswego, and Kenneth of San Diego, California; sister Dolly Allstott, Pendleton; and seven grandchildren and two grandchildren died earlier.
          Sweeny Mortuary, Heppner, is in charge of arrangements.
