| Connie Dawes July 1999 From the Genealogy: I have always doubted that John Williams and Thankful Barlow were Dutch, possibly English who went to Holland to escape religious persecution. I wonder if any of our English members have ever encountered these names. Jimmy Overstreet August 1999 William Charles Barlow was born in 1928. His mother's name is Vertie Faircloth Barlow. He had 1 brother named John, and a sister named Carolyn Barlow Smith. Charles had 2 daughters by a previous married - Debra
- deceased - and Mary Frances Barlow. Charles married
Ruth Helen Crawford later, she is my mother. John
lived in North Carolina or South Carolina. I'm looking for Barlows who migrated from England to Isle of Wight, Virginia - then some went to Brunswick Co., Virginia, then to Wake Co North Carolina, then to Edgefield District South Carolina, then to Laurens, Butts, Sumter, Marion, Stewart, Decatur Georgia, with a few to Alabama and Florida.
