Diana Holston September 2001 I
am looking for my husbands great grandparents, Frank Holston and Edith
Barlow. They lived in Bay- field Wisconsin, in the mid to late
1800's and early 1900's. Mr. Holston had a farm there, and lumber
companies in the surrounding area. They had at least one son,
(name not shown), he married Miss Alta Mae Campbell, they had a son Richard who married
Ethel Ellis. Richard and Ethel lived in Minnesota, where Richard died
in the 1980's. Can anyone shed an light on this family, Barlow or
Holston? Any help will
be appreciated. Bill Phillips in Florida October 1999 My great grandmother was Mary A. Barlow, who married William Dunn in Wisconsin & moved to South Dakota in 1876. William made a land entry and I have his land entry case file from NARA. William died fairly young, 1895. Mary was born in Canada, don't know where. There was a man, Edmund A. Barlow, who was prominent in pioneer South Dakota days. I suspect they were, maybe brother and sister, and if so I know who the parents were. I think they may have been related because there are several instances of the "Edmund" name showing up in the Dunn family. Anyone know more of Mary Barlows family? Mike Biken July 1999 Royal BARLOW was 1846, in Illinois, according to census ... possibly listed as Robert, married to a Kelsey. I found him in Richardson Co Nebraska census of 1860, with mom Naomi and step-dad, John Martin LOOPE who she married November 24, 1853 - in Dodge Co Wisconsin In the 1870 Richardson Co Nebraska census Royal is found with his mom nearby, and a he has a son, Arthur BARLOW - born January 1870. I am looking for his fathers name and his mother's maiden name. I believe he has a sister: Ceralda / Sarilda C. BARLOW born 1837, possibly in New York and died 1892, possibly in Oklahoma. Also from Mike Biken - August 1999 Looking for the parents of Sarilda/Ceralda C. BARLOW who married Alonzo Penuel BACON in Wisconsin or Nebraska about 1860. She was born in New York about 1835 and has a brother, Royal Herman BARLOW born about 1846 in Illinois. Both claim their parents birth as Vermont (I'd imagine about 1810 or so). I believe the mother was Naomi, but don't have her surname or the fathers name. They may have a sister named Prescilla, but I haven't anything concrete, just a reference. Royal named a son Jirah, but I haven't been able to connect these two to the Jirah BARLOW out of Vermont, or any of his siblings. Has anyone come across, Royal, Sarilda or Naomi? Any guesses? LAURA
