Audrey Louise Barlow of Casper, a retired teacher, died Sunday at the Shepherd of the Valley Care Center in Wyoming. She was 84.
Services will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Andrews Caldwell Gibson Funeral Home, Castle Rock. Interment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Castle Rock.
She was born December 18, 1911, in Hamilton, Texas. She received a degree in education in 1939 from the Texas State College for Women. She taught school in Texas until 1941.
On December 20, 1941, she married Walter H. Barlow in Waco, Texas. He preceded her in death.
She taught school at Westwood, Doull and Garden Place Elementary Schools in Denver until retiring in 1974. She was an active member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She enjoyed the outdoors, and studying and teaching about the Bible.
She is survived by a son, V. Henry, Casper; two brothers, Roger Pierson, Rising Star, Texas, and Norman Pierson, Sapulpa, Oklahoma; three sisters, Rosemary Pierson, and Maybelle Murphree, both of Rising Star, and Genevieve Tomm, Joshua, Texas; four grandchildren; and a great grandchild. |
