Christ's Hospital, also called the 'Bluecoat School' was a school for orphans
in London, England known for its harsh discipline and scholarship.
This book has only the abstracts of records of those who were sent to the Americas.  Considerable additional original records are available at the London Guildhall.


ADAM Barlow, BAP Sept 4, 1741, son of Adam, (deceased), admitted on
recommendation from St. Michael Cornhill; Oct 11 1756  released to his mother DINAH B. and Mr. Stephen Venn of Mark Lane, a merchant, to serve Rev. John Venny of Spanish Town, Jamaica
WILLIAM BARLOW, BAP Feb 5, 1710, son of Phillip B., horner, (deceased),
entered on recommendation  from St. James Blackfriars; May 4, 1724 discharged to his mother MARY B. to serve Nathaniel Cunningham, a merchant, of Boston, New England
William Mathews born 1712 , discharged 1728 was admitted in place of
THOMAS Barlow.
(Thomas may have been discharged, died or left and that is why his 'place' was available.... book doesn't say)
