I, Hannah Taylor Of Entwistle in the County of Lancaster, Widow being advanced in age and weak in body but of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, intend hereby to settle my temporal affairs: I revoke all other wills by me made, and make this my last will in manner following, and first it is my will that all my debts funeral expenses, the charge of the probate here of shall be discharged out of the whole of my personal estate by my executors and concerning all the remainder of my goods, chattels credits and personal estate I have any manner of just claim.

It is my will and I order the same to be divided intro three equal parts one part whereof I give to My Daughter, Elizabeth, Wife of Edward Brewer, One other third I give to my Daughter Alice Taylor to be paid unto them within twelve months after my decease, to my friends, James Brandwood, Of Edgworth Chapman & John Wood Of Entwistle, Yeoman, and the survivor of them and his executors.

I give the Last Third part in trust for such Purposes as I shall Herein Set forth that is to say first it is my mind and will that the aid James Brandwood and John Wood shall as soon as conveniently may after my decease, convert the said third part into ready money and place the same out at interest accruing there from shall be added to the principal until the youngest of my three grandchildren (Sons and daughter of my late Daughter, Katherine Barlow, deceased; shall arrive at the age of twenty one years subject to the discretionary power hereafter mentioned), and in further trust and confidence that James Brandwood and John Wood shall as soon as the youngest of my said grandchildren shall have attained the age of 21 yrs., divide the principal money and interest equally amongst my said three grandchildren, namely, John Barlow (Born 1769), Catherine Barlow, (Born 1762 ) And James Barlow, (Dr., Born 1767), provided and I do hereby give my trustees discretionary power to pay unto the said John Barlow and Katherine Barlow, their respective parts when they shall attain the age of 21 yrs old. Provided also if one or more of my said grandchildren die before he, she or they receive their parts thereof without lawful issue, then the part of him, her so dying shall be equally divided amongst the survivors of them, provided also that if all my said grandchildren die before they have received their parts and leave lawful issue, then the principal money and interest shall go to accrue and be to the use of such issue, share and share alike, but if all my said grandchildren die without lawful issue before they have received the said money then the same shall go to my said daughter, Alice Taylor, if she be then living and in default of her being then alive, then upon further thus that my trustees shall continue the said money out upon interest and the yearly loan or interest accruing there from shall be paid unto my said daughter Elizabeth during her natural life, and after her decease to be equally divided amongst the children of my late brothers, Thomas Thomasson and James Thomasson, and such of my said brothers children as are now deceased or shall then be deceased his or her part so deceased shall be equally divided amongst their lawful issue, and I hereby appoint James Brandwood and John Wood joint executors of this my last will and testament (as well as trustees )hoping they will see the same faithfully performed as my trust is in them reposed, and lastly I direct that my executors and trustees shall be saved kept harmless and lossless out of the effects in them vested by this will from all costs and losses, and that they shall each be answerable for his own acts and receipts only, and not one for the other, and also that they shall retain all their costs, T.C. out of the effects vested in them.

In witness whereof I, the said Hannah Taylor, The Testator to this my last will and testament have set my hand and seal the 24 February 1776.
