An interesting story you people might like to hear. My Grandfather was SAMUEL JAMES BARLOW b July 26 1887 in West Ham Essex London England. His sister was ADA BARLOW b. 1891 West Ham Essex England. I will get back to her in a minute.
They had three other siblings MINNIE b. 1884, EDWARD CHARLES, May 2 1888 and (ALFRED) JAMES JOHN b. Aug 20 1881 all in West Ham. Their parents died young leaving them orphans Father JAMES b. 1855 in 1892, and 1893 SARAH JANE STEPHENS b. Oct 1857. I do not know the total dates for most of this. JAMES father (ALFRED) JAMES SAMUEL Barlow b. Feb 7 1835 in Limehouse Middlesex Mother was ANN DENNIS b.1836 Litton York. We believe JAMES SAMUEL's father to be JAMES Barlow b.July 22 1798 Risbys Ropewalk d. June 9 1850 and mother SARAH WILLIAMS b. 1809 His parents we think to be GEORGE BARLOW and MARGARET, (Maybe) Rankin as that is a middle name of their first son George Rankin Barlow b. Feb . 17 1789. The other children were, Elizabeth b. Nov 26 1790, Margaret b. Nov 7 1792, Catherine Jan 4 1795, Ann B. Oct 5 1796, James b. July 22 1798, Thomas b. Mar 7 1802. Charles Feb 21 1804, Samuel John, b. Aug 7 1808.
After talking to my father about the book by Sir Montegue Barlow on Clearinghouse he told me Ada had taken a trip back to England before WW2. While there she went to see Sir Mont. and had actually spent two hours with him talking about the family. He said that Sir Mont. had spend a major about of money doing his research.

Barlow: Ernest John Wyatt, B.Aug. 7,1865 in Westham, Stratford, Essex, England, and Matilda Barlow, B.Sept.29,1864 in Middlesex, London, England, were married Aug. 7, 1886 in Bethnal Green, Middlesex, England.
Matilda was daughter of Benjamin Barlow, B. Dec. 31, 1828 in Stepney, Middlesex, England and Elizabeth Amelia Weston, B. March 15,1829 in Bethnal Green. (I have her parent's names). Benjamin and Elizabeth were married Sept. 24, 1850 in Poplar, Middlesex, London, England. I have Ben's parents names and approx. dates and some siblings.
Migration: Ernest John Wyatt and Matilda Barlow left England with their family in 1903, for Quebec, Canada. Their family all stayed in Canada and I am a granddaughter of theirs. I have no website or URL. More information will be given to any one with interest in this line.

My great Grandfather lived in Northumberland and was a Sergeant Major in the Northumberland Fusiliers. I am also interested in the inventor of the Barlow Knife.
