Fixton Parish Records

Fixton Parish has 2,962 acres situated in the angle between the junction of the rivers Irwell and Mersey containing the township of Flixton and Urmston.

In early Saxon times Flixton was in Northumbria, then in the hundred of Salford but it is not mentioned in the Domesday Book.
