Barlow-Eckersley Family

From the research of John Paul and Ron Eckersley

John found through DNA testing, that he was a very close match to the Barlow family, and has put together the following genealogy in search of his Barlow roots, you will note that the families surname was changed from Barlow to the mother's maiden name, Eckersley in the 18th generation

May 2005:  Note from John Paul Eckersley:   Mark Barlow's DNA results are very interesting and seem to confirm the Lancashire origin for this group of Barlow families. The results are significant because they show that my families origin from the Barlows appears to be correct - my genetic distance from Mark is 4, but I believe FTDNA count this as 3 because of 2 steps difference on the fast mutating CDYa marker. In their terms 3=related. My other close match Sydney Dilks is also 3 different to Mark's results again confirming a common link between these particular Barlow/Eckersley/Dilks families.
